Education
Education is at the core of the Lab’s mission. We aim to support existing and future generations of lawyers in playing an active role in shaping the impact of LegalTech on the profession.
To this aim, we develop innovative educational resources in collaboration with external partners, for the benefit of the legal community and other relevant professionals. We also partner with legal services and industries, to provide opportunities for professionals and students to engage with LegalTech through internships, placements, guest lectures, webinars, and interdisciplinary courses.
Within Swansea University and the Hillary Rodham Clinton School of Law, we are working to be the first University to fully integrate LegalTech skills throughout the LLB curriculum, to equip newer generations of lawyers with invaluable skills that will transform the sector in the coming years. The LLM in LegalTech, one of the first postgraduate courses in LegalTech in the world, is supported by a unique partnership between Law and Computer Science and puts students at the forefront of a fast-growing field, opening up exciting career opportunities to harness the power of technology in the legal profession.
By fostering a creative, hands-on engagement with law, we aim to share the experience of developing and researching LegalTech solutions and developments, making it possible for everyone, from small law firms to bigger organisations, to understand, use and develop LegalTech in their practice.
