Ladies in LegalTech

International Women’s Day was first held in 1909, over one hundred years ago now. It’s in debt to those that fought for women’s rights back then, and in celebration of what women have achieved throughout history, that the Legal Innovation Lab Wales spotlighted some of the women that work within the Lab.

Speaking on our experiences, with some hope that it could be of use to other women looking to get into the LegalTech space, Dr Sara Correia, Annie Benzie, and Rey Sheer Hardwick spent an hour in conversation with Dr Lella Nouri and Freya Michaud.

We talked about our history, our aspirations, and the advice that we have for other women who face similar questions and challenges to the ones we faced across our careers.

Even from within the Lab, we don’t always get an opportunity to talk with each other about our journeys. Conversations like this remind us that we’re more alike than we think – that where we struggle, others have struggled, and when we succeed we all succeed.

You can watch the full event on the Lab’s YouTube channel.
